Meet the Team
Brian Travers, MD
Dr. Travers, is a Brain Injury Survivor and Disability Insurance Advocate who works with other physicians assisting them with their insurance needs. He became inspired by his own real-life experiences that led him into medicine and financial services. Being born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta required many visits to his orthopedic surgeons office which led him on his chosen career of becoming a doctor. Shortly after graduating from medical school his career path came to and end when he lost his hearing, a consequence of his bone disease. It was a this time he realized the financial consequences of not being prepared for the unexpected. Rather than be held back by his unexpected disabling events, Dr. Travers chose to enter into financial services to share his experiences in an effort to educate others as to the need for proper financial planning. His mission is simple: to make sure no other physician would ever have to go through the emotional and financial hardships he has endured.
While living in Rhode Island, Dr. Travers has lectured to over 50 residency training programs around New England and the neighboring Tri State areas. He has spent an equal amount of time lecturing at insurance agencies and has been a keynote speaker at insurance events around the country. Dr. Travers's work in the Disability Insurance area has been featured in A.M. Best magazine "Best's Review, the Dow Jones Newswire, Renaissancephysician.com and most recently featured in VoyageMIA.com.
Dr. Travers received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and Bachelors Degree from Roger Williams University.
Originally from Rhode Island, he and his family reside in Coconut Creek, Florida.

I was very fortunate to be noticed by A.M. Best within my first year in the business back in 2006. They had heard about the work I was doing with other young Physicians assisting them with their insurance needs. They featured me in their magazine "Best's Review".
Two years later the work I had been doing with Residents and Private Practitioners caught the attention of the Dow Jones Newswire. They featured me in an article to coincide with Disability Insuracne Awareness Month (DIAM) which is recognized annually during the month of May.
Presently, this past August 2018, RenaissancePhysician.com came across my story in a Facebook Physician Group. They provided me with an interview and presented it on their "blog" post. The interview outlined my experiences of suffering two disabling events with and without Disability Insurance and how both instances share the common path of inspiring me to work with other Physicians for nonclinical matters.
